SOMA teams enter the mission field as servants and learners. We go to serve and minister to those who have invited us, believing that God and our fellow Christians will also teach usOur missions not only bless receiving churches and dioceses, but God also stirs the hearts and minds of team members.

"Through SOMA missions, team members have the opportunity to experience Christianity with power right off the pages of the New Testament! And they have the opportunity to bring those experiences back to their congregations and refresh our DNA here in America–a DNA that is and must ever be biblical, missional, and Spirit-filled!"  The Rev. Canon Phil Ashey, President & CEO of the American Anglican Council

Lives Are Changed

A core component of SOMA USA's ministry is to form a cross-cultural team of clergy and lay missioners. In addition to U.S. members, each team includes members from a culture similar to the receiving diocese (to assist in translation as needed, as well as to help the team navigate cultural differences). Serving on a SOMA mission has transformed the lives of hundreds of people. God has used those same people as a catalyst for renewal in their home churches.
