SOMA USA sends 6 to 8 mission teams each year (except during COVID). We have ministered to countless thousands of church leaders in 42 countries and the U.S. The scope of SOMA missions is broad—sending missioners to equip and strengthen leaders in Christian minority countries, and among bishops and archbishops in regions where Christianity is well established. Our ministry is “from everywhere to everywhere.”
“We greatly benefitted from the SOMA ministries in the Diocese of Nebbi [Uganda] under the previous bishop. Most of the clergy have retired since then. We have a whole generation of new clergy. We desperately need the renovation of our hearts. Please come!” urged Bishop Alphonse Watho-kudi.
SOMA Comes By Invitation
Each mission begins with an invitation and is confirmed through prayer. We desire to support the vision and meet the spiritual needs of those who invite us. SOMA ministers to clergy, their spouses, youth leaders, congregational leaders, women's leaders, evangelists, worship leaders, seminary students, and lay readers. We lead conferences that address conflict resolution, strengthening marriage bonds in ministry, intercessory prayer, spiritual warfare, healing prayer ministry, discipleship, evangelism, the work of the Holy Spirit, and other areas of Christian discipleship. Before a mission begins, training topics are confirmed. However, teams remain flexible as they seek continual guidance from Holy Spirit, adapting the schedule as God leads.
