“God is reviving His Church through SOMA”

By Kyle Spradley, National Director

SOMA hosted a fantastic dinner event to celebrate and support our global ministry. But it was much more than a dinner—it was a celebration of faith among believers, giving thanks to the living God. The heart of the evening was captured through powerful testimonies shared by Bishop Kevin Bond Allen, his son, the Rev. John Allen, and the Rev. Brook Bachelor. Their words witnessed to the transforming power of faith and the work of the Holy Spirit. Their testimonies are so good, youʼll want to watch them twice, and share them with other people!

“SOMA is probably the most extraordinary international ministry in Anglican circles because it impacts thousands….”

Bishop Kevin Bond Allen, Chairman of SOMA USA, and his son, the Rev. John Allen, Asst. Priest at St. Peter & St. Paul Anglican Church, Arlington, TX

The father-son duo of "Allen & Allen" moved us with their extraordinary narrative, reminding us that our spiritual journeys are connected to the Kingdom through time and space. The Rev. Brook Batchelor shared a remarkable account from a SOMA mission to youth leaders with a particular emphasis on healing and freedom from trauma.

“I stay with SOMA because I’ve seen the Lord work in dynamic ways…by pouring His grace on them (leaders) in such a way that they overflow into the world around them.”

The experience of those who attended the dinner and heard these testimonies speaks volumes about the impact of the night. Phrases like "I wanted to hear more!" and the affirmation that "Our church leaders need encouragement and ministry" were common among the feedback. The presence of the Lord was palpable, with one person expressing, "I have never experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit like that before. I could not feel my feet touching the ground when walking back to my car!" Another person declared, "There was 'buzz' in the room and a feeling of being touched by God."

My heart is filled with gratitude for the overwhelming love and support shown to SOMA's ministry. Your prayers and financial partnership fuel SOMA missions. Thank you, and may God give us the grace to walk firmly in our faith and the resurrection power of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
